Tuesday on The Voice Season 9 Episode 2, Adam Levine continued his quest to steal coveted country talent away from Blake Shelton.

Was he successful in that difficult endeavor?

Continuing a theme from The Voice Season 9 premiere, Adam was either on the verge of losing his mind or playing it up for the cameras.

Maybe a little of both, after duking it out with Blake for eight seasons in swiveling spaceship chairs and losing his fair share of future stars.

Lamenting that Blake’s down-home skill at connecting with singers left him out in the cold, Adam set out to poach from his rival’s genre.

By the end, Pharrell and Gwen (who also turned around for Ellen DeGeneres Show vet James Dupre) were relegated to bystander status.

It wasn’t all a loss for them – or any of the coaches, for that matter – on this night, however, as we saw a number of four-chair turnarounds.

Did any aspiring singer come close to Jordan Smith? Do any of them have what it takes to make a run at the Season 9 title this fall?

Check out last night’s performances above, and see below to relive some of the best efforts from Monday’s season premiere as well!
