Ever since her inaugural appearance on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Porsha William’s has had a lot to prove.
For instance, after a swath of less-than-intelligent comments, Porsha has had to convince the audience that she isn’t an idiot. Porsha insisted that she isn’t an airhead in Upscale Magazine (though we don’t believe her).
And when Porsha and Kordell Stewart divorced in 2013, Porsha had to show the world she can make it on her own.
As if that wasn’t enough, now, she is trying to prove that she isn’t broke.
MediaTakeOut recently reported that the 34-year-old reality star “owes money all over Atlanta.” And now a source close to Williams is opening up about Porsha’s financial status.
“Porsha was basically broke when she walked away from her marriage. She didn’t want anything from the divorce,” the insider told Radar Online.
“Some of those debts her husband was responsible for, but it all came back to her,” the source continued. “Everyone makes mistakes and everyone has financial issues. Porsha is human, and is not ashamed of her past.”
Porsha, who is also the founder of Go Naked hair extensions and a Dish Nation hostess, is doing “great,” the source said.
She even reportedly has two fashion projects under development.
So if this is true, where is the rumor that she is broke coming from?
The source thinks it is one of Willliams’ RHOA costars conjuring up stories as filming for the upcoming season begins.
“Someone is digging up dirt and looking to start drama,” the insider explained. “Porsha is a great example of how you can get your life together and grow from any bad experience.”
Nearly everyone on the show has some bad blood with Porsha, so it is hard to tell who it could be.
Between someone starting rumors about Porsha and Sheree Whitfield’s return to RHOA, this season is sure to start with a bang.
