As you’ve likely heard by now, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are getting divorced.
The couple announced their separation yesterday, just one day after what would have been their 10-year anniversary.
Naturally, fans were filled with questions following the announcement:
How long have they been having problems? Was Affleck hinting at marital troubles in his 2013 Oscars speech? Is Garner really moving to Montreal?!
Those first two mysteries might never be solved, but it looks like we may have an answer to the third query:
For now, it seems that Garner is staying put in LA, as Radar Online is reporting that the actress is remodeling her home in hopes of leaving all memory of Ben in the past without having to relocate.
Sources say Ben and Jen did extensive remodeling after moving into the home in 2010. They designed many of the changes together, and now Garner reportedly sees the Pacific Palisades mansion as one big reminder of her failed marriage.
The 43-year-old actress applied for a building permit in the weeks leading up to the separation, and insiders say she’s already begun the process of "gutting" the massive house.
Last month, moving vans were spotted in Ben and Jen’s driveway, and it was rumored that Affleck was moving out.
Now it seems workers were just removing furniture from the home so that the remodeling project could begin. Ben reportedly still lives on the property in a sizable guest house.
