While his buddy Brad Pitt married Angelina Jolie over the weekend, George Clooney was reportedly in the depths of wedding planning hell.
Clooney offered his congrats to Brad and Angie today, but deep down the A-lister may have been jealous that their nuptials went off without a hitch, as sources say things have gotten so ugly between George and Amal Alamuddin that they may be ready to call off the ceremony.
According to the National Enquirer, Clooney and Alamuddin are quarreling over their prenup and can’t see eye-to-eye with regard to what will happen to George’s $220 million fortune in the event of a divorce.
“Given his shaky track record with women over the years, including a difficult divorce from his first wife and the brief longevity of most Hollywood marriages in general, I think he needs to make sure he has a prenuptial agreement that’s ironclad,” divorce attorney Raoul L. Felder tells the tabloid.
“He has a lot to worry about and a lot to lose if he doesn’t proceed with the utmost care and caution. The fact that (his fiancee) is a lawyer is strike one against him.”
And the troubles don’t end there. Insiders say George and Amal’s wedding planner quit out of frustration, and the couple is squabbling over the guest list.
Brad and Angie themselves were reportedly planning to sit this one out, but Angelina had a change of heart after finding out that President Obama had agreed to attend.
Apparently, that’s created an issue as Brad’s ex Jennifer Aniston has already been invited. We call these “A-lister problems.”
