Gwyneth Paltrow was once dubbed the Most Beautiful Woman Alive by People, but her striking good looks are coming under attack right now.
She can thank her new Max Factor campaign for that.
After Paltrow released this image of herself paying tribute to Audrey Hepburn, legions of the Breakfast at Tiffany’s star’s fans took to Twitter to slam her.
“She’s not pretty enough to be Audrey!” @Jaspiehorn wrote. “Worst casting ever!” @mariamzadeh added. “Gwyneth could never play Audrey.
“She’s not even half the woman Audrey Hepburn was,” said @DestineeDouty.
Meanwhile, @lainieamber called it “the funniest thing I have heard all day!”
Paltrow also paid homage to Madonna, Farrah Fawcett and Brigitte Bardot in the campaign, but it was the Hepburn comparison that ignited a firestorm.
Life isn’t all bad for the much-maligned working mom Gwyneth, however.
Paltrow appears to be consciously recoupling with Chris Martin, as they’ve been spotted together several times after announcing a split earlier this year.
Sorry, Alexa Chung. Maybe next conscious uncoupling.
