These days, Tamra Judge is more concerned about Simon Barney's Stage 3 throat cancer than her reality career, but she still has her future in mind.
She has now revealed that Andy Cohen told her that she'll be back -- for Season 16!
Tamra Judge sat down for a Jeff Lewis Live interview on SiriusXM where she spoke about her departure after twelve years on RHOC.
"It was a job to me,” Tamra expresses.
“When this job ended," she adds, "I never thought, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m going to get another show.’"
Tamra explained that she never imagined getting a new reality TV gig "because I don’t have agents.”
It turns out that Tamra didn't need an agent to move on.
"Well, I’ve been approached," she reveals.
"Andy told me to hold off on signing any kind of contract," Tamra adds. "Run it past him first."
Now, Tamra and Vicki both reportedly have a one-year no-compete clause in their Bravo contracts ... but there's more to it.
Apparently, Andy's instructions for Tamra to turn down new reality gigs has to do with more than just no-compete clauses.
Tamra says that Andy gave her this advice "'cause he says that I’ll be back next year."
That means that, at least according to Tamra, Andy promised her that she will return to Real Housewives in 2021.
Will Tamra Judge regain her peach in Season 16 or just be a "Friend?" If Andy's making this promise, she'd better be a Full Housewife, right?
For some reason, some sites have reported this as Tamra's return for Season 15, but that is this year.
In the interview, Tamra appears to make it very clear that her promised return will be in Season 16.
We get it -- sometimes wires get crossed. This has led people to believe that Tamra will be making a surprise comeback this season.
Season 15 is already filming without her. We suppose that she could be a guest star at the last minute, but she's talking about Season 16.
We have to conclude that Tamra is only talking about this because Andy Cohen has given her the go-ahead.
Otherwise, she may end up in trouble or even lose her chance to return. Loose lips sink shows, or something like that.
Assuming that Andy gave her the thumbs up to share the news, we can probably expect to hear Andy confirm this soon.
When he can, he tends to be very direct with fans about this sort of thing, just as he was earlier this year when he shouted down some rumors.
This revelation by Tamra actually fits into a theory that we here at THG espoused weeks ago when the news broke.
Vicki's exit from the show was not a huge surprise. Bravo wanted her gone, and she had resolved to not return as a "Friend" again.
It was a bit of a surprise to see Tamra leave after she was so cental to the drama.
But Tamra was given the boot because Bravo wanted to see real change.
Removing Vicki alone from the show wouldn't change things up. Tamra and Shannon, the Dos Amigas, would pick up the slack.
Instead, now Shannon is "alone" on the show. She and Kelly will have to find new dynamics within the group.
Brauwnyn is reportedly the semi-official "star" of Season 15, if all goes according to plan.
You can remove Tamra for a season, let the chips fall where they may, and then reintroduce her and let her adapt to a brand new dynamic.
