In the past few months there has been a lot of speculation about Kate Gosselin's son Collin and what was going on with him. So much so that we got some insight into the situation on Kate Plus 8 Season 5 Episode 7.
Katie's daughter, Mady, was hosting a trivia "game show" about what had happened in the lives for the Gosselin family over the course of their stint on reality TV.
Over the course of the season, we have witness the way Mady speaks back to her mother. This has always irked Kate, but maybe the kid just takes after her mother.
As you probably know if you watch Kate Plus 8 online, Kate has a knack for wanting to be the center of attention and making her words count more than what anyone else says. That's sort of what she does.
With the family split into two teams, it was clear that Kate was not impressed with the way Mady was handling things. When Kate decided to chat to her team about an answer, Mady went to a whole new level of volatile against her mother.
“You don’t call 'discusses.' Next time, [you’ll] be disqualified.” Okay then.
Aren't you supposed to like make up the rules before you start the game to avoid drama down the line? This seems like a classic case of people playing Monopoly with all different rules and arguing half way through the game. We've all been there.
In a confessional, Kate tearfully revealed that the kids were not easy on her.
"They are hard on me. I give it as hard as they give it. … Honesty is good, and that just means they can feel honest in the family."
From what we've seen of Kate this season, she's definitely trying much harder. She's not as annoying as she once was. It's like she's trying to prove to the public that they should not hate on her.
Collin participated in interviews with his siblings about the game, but aside from that, he was a scarce presence on the episode.
This marked his first appearance on the series season, so there's a chance that it could pave the way for more appearances down the line.
Collin has been away at a treatment facility. He has been getting help for behavioral issues.
During the competition, it was revealed that some of the kids do get to watch past episodes of the show. That helped with their answers in the quiz.
Now, it seems a bit much to allow the kids to watch the show when you consider just how much drama there was for Jon and Kate over the years.
They probably had the most volatile relationship in the history of reality TV. It's crazy just how great they appeared to be with one another at first, but it seems like fame was one of the factors that ruined both of them.
There's probably no chance that Jon would ever appear in front of reality TV cameras again. He's just so done with reality TV.
What do you think about all of this?
