Fast 8 is looking to speed away from its ongoing controversy.

In light of the recent feud between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel, the movie’s official Facebook account has shared the following cast photo on its home page:

From left to right, the image features the following stars:

Jason Statham, Kristofer Hivju, Kurt Russell, Tyrese Gibson, Charlize Theron, Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Scott Eastwood and Johnson.

Along with the picture, the film penned a message of gratitude to its enormous fan base.

“For our final #FastFridays post, all of us in the Fast Family wanted to thank you for coming on the ride with us during this epic production,” the post begins.

It continues:

“We began in Cuba, visited Iceland, New York and Atlanta, and as we head into our final few days of shooting, we wanted to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to those who have worked so hard over the past 100 days to bring you a movie that is going to be another incredible installment of our saga.

“Everything we do comes from our shared passion to bring you the very best.”

This photo and affiliated caption is relevant because Johnson shared a viral Instagram rant last week that overly called out one of his male co-stars.

He referred to this individual as a “candy ass” who was unprofessional and disrespectful during shooting.

It was late confirmed (not by Johnson, mind you) that Johnson’s beef was with Diesel, who served as a producer on Fast 8 and who sources said let the power go to his head.

He would arrive late to the set. He would insult the work of other actors. He generally sucked a whole lot.

Johnson and Diesel reportedly had a meeting to hash out their differences soon after news of their feud went public, but it didn’t solve their issues.

Since then, Tyrese Gibson has posted multiple times, expressing his love for both colleagues, while Diesel has promised to come out and tell everyone EVERYTHING.

He’s yet to follow up on this promise.

But film producers are obviously aware of the beef and the surrounding controversy.

They are trying to bring the focus back to the actual movie via this lengthy Facebook entry, which goes on to cite Johnson, Diesel and other cast members by name.

“Thank you Vin, who has been at the wheel since this journey began, first as star and then as producer,” it reads, adding:

“And thanks to all of the cast of the eighth Fast: Michelle, who’s also been with us from the start…

“Those who’ve joined our family along the way: Tyrese and Chris from Miami in our second film; Dwayne and Elsa, who came on board in Rio in movie five;

“Jason, Nathalie and Kurt from last time around; and our newest members Charlize, Scott, Kristofer and Helen…”

Most importantly, however, is the shout out to one star who, tragically, won’t appear in the upcoming installment.

“And our brother who continues to inspire us all, Paul [Walker].”

Look for the first Fast 8 trailer to be released in December.
