Last night on The Real Housewives of Dallas Season 1 Episode 8, drunk Brandi invited all her co-stars to a relaxing weekend getaway.
Just kidding re: the "relaxing" part. Gotta keep you on your toes and make sure you're paying attention. So what went down in reality?
The drama all started with Stephanie Hollman planning a Gatsby-themed birthday bash for her husband, Travis, and all of their friends.
Well, except LeeAnne. She had second thoughts about LeeAnne.
"The only person I’m not sure about is LeeAnne … I don’t wanna ruin my husband’s birthday!” Stephanie said of her controversial co-star.
Speaking of Mrs. Locken, she was asked to be the keynote speaker at an event for the Grace Project, a foundation aiding female HIV victims.
If you watch The Real Housewives of Dallas online, you know it's a very big deal - in general, but because charity is everything in Big D.
"These women are ashamed that they are HIV positive, and I suffered shame as a child because I was molested," reflects the Bravo star.
Stephanie was touched by LeeAnne’s vulnerability, admitting:
“I felt her connection with these women. It was really cool.”
As for Travis’ birthday party, Stephanie questioned her partner's request to have her pop out of a cake in a bikini: “Seriously?" she said.
"This fantasy just came up this year. I’m getting older and uglier. I don’t know why he’d want me to jump out of a cake with a bikini on.”
At Brandi and LeeAnne’s meeting to clear the air regarding their past difficulties, Brandi actually owned up to her earlier shady behavior.
She said, “You know, my humor is very silly and immature, and I know how to push people’s buttons in a way that is sometimes not OK.”
LeeAnne responded: “I’ll be honest - I didn’t respond in my best manner. You’ve pushed buttons in me that no one’s pressed in a long time."
"It’s not a pretty side, but that’s not who I am.”
All's well that ends well?
At the birthday party, Cary Deuber showed up in a gorgeous gown that happened to also be her wedding dress. That will make an impression.
Tiffany Hendra dramatically commented, “When Cary came in, I felt the arctic wind.” Beyond that, though? The tension was ... so minimal.
Cary saw that everyone had made up, and said. “Where are the rainbows and unicorns coming from? I mean, Stephanie’s buying it … Not me.”
Stay tuned for next week's Austin trip.
