Kelly Ripa may be famous for her bubbly on-air personality...
... but sources close to the star say she is anything but pleased over the sudden departure of Michael Strahan as her co-host.
As previously detailed, Strahan will leave his gig on Live! With Kelly and Michael in September and head over Good Morning America as a full-time reporter/anchor.
But Ripa was blindsided by this news, unaware any sort of arrangement was in the works and was also not told about it until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
That would be the same time at which Disney told the world it was happening.
Ripa has worked for ABC (which is owned by Disney) since 2001... so it's understandable that she would be pissed over not receiving any sort of warning via phone call or sit-down discussion.
The question now is whether or not Disney cares at all about Live! and whether it will expand GMA to three hours, starting at 9 a.m. and either bumping Ripa an hour early - or bumping her from the schedule entirely.
There's also the matter of who will take over for Strahan once he officially departs.
But if Ripa leaves and if GMA takes over Live!'s time slot, that would make this far less of an issue, we suppose.
Stay tuned, folks. It's bound to get uglier before it gets any better.
UPDATE: Ripa did not show up to co-host with Strahan this morning.
