Divorce rumors have haunted Will Smith and Jada Pinkett's marriage almost from day one, but the teen shaman-siring couple has always persevered.
It's been rumored for years that Will and Jada have an open relationship, and though Jada has repeatedly denied the rumors, recent comments have led many to believe that the she and Will aren't as strict about fidelity as most couples.
Reports about Jada hooking up with August Alsina spread like wildfire earlier this month, and everyone involved with the situation has avoided commenting on it publicly.
Now, the National Enquirer is reporting that Will and Jada are hammering out the terms of a divorce, and they'll make their announcement sometime before the end of summer.
“They’re exhausted from trying to maintain the façade of a happy union," a source claims. "They’ve decided to pull the plug in a carefully choreographed manner, [and] agree announcing their split at the end of the summer is the right move.”
The insider adds that the Smiths have already “worked out a confidential settlement to protect their $240 million fortune, and prepare their kids for the fallout.
“They’re already moving on with their lives. All that’s left is the inking of the divorce papers.”
Considering the source, it's easy to be skeptical of these rumors, but the Enquirer has a pretty good track record when it comes to predicting recent celebrity divorces.
Then again, we've seen enough episodes of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (Read: all of them, 15 times each) to know that Will's pretty good at cooking up schemes to help him get out of tough situations. He might need the help of DJ Jazzy Jeff on this one.
