Donald Trump has received yet another pink slip.
The controversial Presidential candidate, whose relationship with NBC is over due to his recent comments about Mexican immigrants, has now been given the heave-ho by Macy's.
Yes, let's all say it together: Donald Trump has been FIRED.
“We are disappointed and distressed by recent remarks about immigrants from Mexico," a spokesperson for the company tells CNN.
"We do not believe the disparaging characterizations portray an accurate picture of the many Mexicans, Mexican Americans and Latinos who have made so many valuable contributions to the success of our nation."
During his Presidential announcement speech, Trump said of immigrants entering the country:
"They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists."
While the backlash against Trump has been harsh in some segments of the nation (Cheryl Burke just resigned as Miss USA Pageant host, for example), he's actually running second right now among Republican hopefuls.
Concluded Macy's in its statement:
"In light of statements made by Donald Trump, which are inconsistent with Macy’s values, we have decided to discontinue our business relationship with Mr. Trump and will phase-out the Trump menswear collection, which has been sold at Macy’s since 2004.”
Trump, meanwhile, appeared on Fox News this week and doubled down on his anti-immigration comments.
