There have been a lot of rumors about Cara Delevingne. In December, word on the street was that Cara and Kendall Jenner were hooking up. The two were even photographed together in a picture licking each other.
But Delevingne is making one thing clear--her bisexuality is no rumor or phase!
After a recent Vogue cover suggested that Cara Delevingne’s bisexual orientation was a phase, the 22-year-old supermodel and actress is speaking out.
“My sexuality is not a phase,” Delevingne stated to The New York Times. “I am who I am."
Writer Rob Haskell implied in the Vogue article that Delevingne’s sexual orientation might just stem from curiosity and that her parents believe it is only “a phase.”
The suggestion rubbed the LGBT community and allies the wrong way, and an online petition ensued.
Petitioners demanded that Vogue acknowledge that being LGBT is not a choice that diminishes.
Though Delevingne told The New York Times that she was flattered by the petition, she saw “nothing malicious” in the Vogue article.
"It took me a long time to accept the idea, until I first fell in love with a girl at 20 and recognized that I had to accept it,” she said.
