Just one week ago, country singer Randy Rogers took to Twitter to announce the birth of his daughter, Rumor Rain Rogers.
Tragically, sweet Rumer died on Tuesday. She was only six days old.
Randy, the frontman of The Randy Rogers Band, released details on the band’s Facebook page about the heartbreaking death of his newborn baby.
"Rumer Rain Rogers, daughter of Randy and Chelsea Rogers, passed away last night at Seton Memorial Hospital in Austin, Texas," he wrote on Wednesday.
He added, "Rumer died of natural causes, in her parents loving arms, just days after her birth. During this time of grieving, the family asks that individuals wishing to offer condolences make a donation to the children’s charity of their choosing.The family thanks you for your love and support."
Rogers also tweeted to the band’s followers: "We are sad to say that Rumer Rain Rogers passed away last night. She was well loved, well cared for and in her parents loving arms."
The Randy Rogers Band was scheduled to play in Texas this Friday. The show has been canceled in light of the tragic news.
