The last few months have been long and troubled for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards.
Kim has been in and out of rehab as she has struggled to maintain her sobriety. And the former child star has faced legal troubles over her pitbull’s attacks on three people.
But, finally, there is some good news for Kim!
Richards will not be charged for the drunken arrest that landed her in rehab.
An insider told Radar Online, “Hotel management has absolutely no interest in having Kim prosecuted for trespassing at the Polo Lounge.”
Yesterday morning, at the LAX Airport Courthouse, Richards’ attorney entered a not guilty plea on Kim’s behalf. Richards was not present.
Shortly after her arrest, Kim appeared on Dr. Phil’s show. He offered to pay for her treatment, but Kim declined.
At the end of April, she entered rehab on her own. While she was in rehab, rumors surfaced that she wanted to leave.
Her wish came true when she was given a pass to attend her daughter’s wedding in Mexico. And that’s when things got really bad...again.
Kim failed to report back to the treatment facility. Reportedly, she had relapsed again.
Eventually, Kim entered rehab for a mental breakdown. She checked into a Pacific Palisades treatment center that focuses on mental health.
Her newest facility in Malibu specializes in intensive addiction treatment.
Now that Kim is actually getting serious about treatment, her attorney Robert Shapiro thinks he can get the other charges dropped.
Shapiro stated, he is “confident he can get the other charges dismissed after providing proof to the court that she is making progress in rehab.”
