Bitterness. Jealousy. Competitiveness. Fear. Passive-aggressive rage. These issues were all prevalent on Dance Moms Season 5 Episode 21.
Really, they’re the crux of Dance Moms in general, but on the second portion of the show’s "Down Under" special, they were especially notable.
If you watch Dance Moms online, you know that the recent rise to fame of some of the girls has taken its toll on them, the others, and the moms.
It may set off a confluence of events that spells the end of the ALDC as we know it. And no one, repeat NO ONE, wants to see that day. Ever.
The bulk of the tension surrounded Nia Frazier, who was set to perform her first concert on the second part of “Dance Moms Down Under.”
A special performed without her coach, Abby Lee, completely on board.
Miller previously told Nia and her mother Holly they were not invited to attend the ALDC’s fan events in Sydney, leaving Holly scrambling.
She flew in Nia’s choreographer in an attempt to ensure that her little girl got the attention she so richly deserves. Much to Abby’s chagrin.
“I want to prove to Abby that I’m a superstar,” Nia Frazier proclaims.
“You are here because I am here,” Abby responds, then turns to Holly: "Whatever. I hope you have something to fall back on because this ain’t it kid!"
Wow. Unusually harsh, even for good ol’ Abbs.
According to Jill Vertes, Abby is just jealous.
“The last thing Abby would want to is feel she’s being shown up,” Jill says, and you can ask Kelly Hyland or Cathy Nesbitt-Stein all about that.
How did she do? Will the feud continue or simmer down? You’ll have to watch the episode via the links above to see for yourself, however:
The opening of Abby’s West Coast studio, ALDC LA (Abby Lee Dance Company Los Angeles), is right around the corner. We’re just saying.
