Cate Blanchett has something unexpected in common with Miley Cyrus.
A few days after the young singer admitted that she has been in relationships that were NOT "straight [and] heterosexual]," Blanchett has come out and said the same thing.
The Oscar winner will next be seen in Carol, a movie in which Blanchett portrays a lesbian.
Asked by variety whether this is her first turn as lesbian, Blanchett at first replied: "On film – or in real life?"
Pressed for details about whether she’s had past relationships with her same gener, however, the star simply said: “Yes. Many times."
Blanchett, like Miley, would not elaborate. She and her husband, playwright Andrew Upton, have four children together.
Elsewhere in the interview, Blanchett said she doesn’t watch her own films, doesn’t Google herself and will never join Twitter.
