Earlier today, we reported that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have been living apart for over a month.
Now it looks like the actors, who will celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary in June, might not even be living in the same city.
Radar Online is reporting that Affleck has been staying in Vegas and playing a lot of “high stakes poker at the Venetian,” according to one witness.
Garner, meanwhile, was most recently spotted in New York, and sources say she’s not there on business, but is instead enjoying some “me time” in her own, much more subdued way.
Yes, Ben is playing Hold ‘Em in Sin City while Jen does some shopping and lunching in NYC. We’re no marriage counselors, but it sounds to us like these two aren’t putting a ton of effort into working things out.
Ben’s partying is somewhat troubling (a Twitter user reported seeing him at a poker table at 3 am over the weekend), because of his past struggles with booze and betting.
Affleck admitted to drinking and gambling during the filming of Gone Girl and Batman v. Superman, but sources close to the Oscar-winner say that he’s been back on the wagon in recent weeks.
Could the collapse of Ben’s marriage have triggered a relapse? Or did the return to his old, hard-partying ways prompt Jen to call it quits?
We may never know, but at the moment, things aren’t looking good for Bennifer.
