By now, you've probably heard that Bruce Jenner's sex change has been confirmed and will be the topic of an upcoming E! reality show.
Many of the details of Bruce's transition won't be revealed until the show premieres (Because what's the point of undergoing a major life change if it doesn't get ratings?).
However, sources are now claiming that the former Olympic champion has set a date to go under the knife for the final stage of his process.
What does that entail, and when will it take place?
Insiders tell celebrity gossip website Radar Online that Bruce Jenner's sex change operation will take place "toward the end of summer."
Apparently, it was supposed to have taken place months earlier, but was postponed due to Bruce's involvement in a fatal car accident last month.
In preparation for the procedure, Bruce has reportedly started receiving larger and more frequent doses of female hormones.
In addition, Jenner has been visiting a therapist to help him both prepare for the surgery and recover from the trauma of the accident.
"The therapy was required by the doctor who will be performing Bruce's surgery," says one insider. "It has helped Bruce tremendously."
It's been reported that Bruce is being ostracized by the Kardashians as a result of his decision to go public with his sex change, but the source claims that while his family may be distancing themselves, many others have come forward to offer encouragement.
"Because of the accident, people who Bruce hasn't spoken spoken to in forever are reaching out to him to offer support for his grieving process," says the insider.
"They are letting him know they support his transition too."
