Not a whole lot went down on The Originals Season 2 Episode 14.
And yet it still made for a terrific hour of television.
That’s because the series has written such fascinating characters and built of such suspenseful storylines.
In this case, a significant bulk of the hour was dedicated to Hayley and Jackson’s wedding. Would they go through with the unification ceremony? Would it really bring the werewolves together?
We witnessed Elijah nearly tell Hayley how he feels, only for her to stop him because it wouldn’t make a difference. It was too late.
So the noble Mikaleson brother stood silently by as his love married someone else.
Klaus, meanwhile, paranoid as always about Jackson and whether or not he could trust him with the secret of baby Hope, schemed to actually kill Hayley’s new husband.
Elijah was vehemently against this act, though Klaus did end up inviting Hayley and Jackson to live at the compound. In return, Elijah said he was going to move outside the city and help Marcel train the new vampires.
Hayley and Jackson did end up getting married. They even consummated the union after Hayley assured Jackson she went through with it for her, not solely to help the pack.
She trusts Jackson. He makes her feel safe.
And she’s gonna need him, along with all of her werewolf minions, in the near future. That’s because, as you’ll see when you watch The Originals online, Freya awake Finn from, well… death.
She told him that Dahlia will be able to find Hope based on the magic that surrounds her and that this is a VERY bad thing. Dahlia means seriously evil business.
Also, in sad news, Kol died from the spell Finn placed on him. Rebekah vowed to do all she can to bring him back because he’ll be hanging with the witch ancestors and they are never truly dead.
