The Voice results are in after Monday’s Top 10 performances, and those striving for greatness were sweating bullets waiting to learn if they would sing on.
Some favorites continued to impress on The Voice Season 7 Episode 20, while some slipped up and other dark horse candidates made a case to continue.
Alas, only eight spots remained, and it was the end of the road for …
Anita Antoinette (Team Gwen) and Reagan James (Team Blake)!
Ryan Sill, for the second straight week, won the Instant Save.
It was a bit of a surprise to see both them out, but the fans have spoken and the ladies have not fared well with America’s votes deciding the outcome.
Amazingly, Team Pharrell’s DaNica Shirey became the only female singer to make the top eight in what is turning out to be a male-dominated season.
Team Adam, meanwhile, has all three finalists left in Matt McAndrew, Damien and Chris Jamison, none of whom have been in the bottom three thus far.
Team Gwen still has Sill and Taylor John Williams, while Team Pharrell has a pair of contenders in Shirey and Luke Wade headed to the elite eight.
Team Blake Shelton is now Team Craig Wayne Boyd.
