A pregnant Amber set out to test her maternal skills on Parenthood Season 6 Episode 7, but found herself calling Sarah for help more often than expected.
Meanwhile, Joel and Julia took a long, hard look at their relationship.
The crux of Parenthood Season 6 Episode 7 was Amber watching Adam’s kids for the week, which is one heck of a way to get used to the idea of parenting.
Meanwhile, Drew takes Zeek to Oakland to go to Big Top Burgers, Ruby tearfully wants to transfer schools, and Hank lets Max borrow one of his cameras.
Julia and Joel see a mediator to discuss the particulars of their split. It goes well. They hold hands, cry and embrace and part at the end of the elevator ride.
Zeek summons Drew for another adventure. We sense a theme.
Amber cannot find the keys to get the kids to the Alcatraz ferry, so they decide to take her car instead. Slowly, the wheels are coming off here (figuratively).
Sandy gets upset at Sarah for showing Ruby a racy movie, although they do end up bonding a bit after Hank walks out of the room, which is often does.
Sarah gets upset later at Hank, though, for how he handles this.
Julia goes to see Joel, who wants her to have the family home.
Hank goes to get the camera from Max, who is pacing over a scheduling issue. A kindred spirit of sorts, Hank decides to stay with the kid for a bit.
Zeek takes Drew to an empty lot to shoot a gun. Awesome.
Later, Sarah finds Max eating whatever he wants and watching movies, while Amber is upstairs, in bed with Nora. Sarah tells Amber she was a little ambitious.
Chris goes to pick up Julia, who is reeling from the day, but decides to invite him in anyway, because with the divorce papers in hand, why not at this point?
He toasts to making new memories and calls it a night.
Hank tells Sandy that he’s seeing a guy about the possibility he has Asperger’s, which he doesn’t even see as a possibility, but a given he now must process.
Not surprisingly, she’s at a loss for words over this.
Later, Sarah and Hank are at home when Sandy comes to get Ruby. Sandy asks Hank to join them for a family day, which makes him really happy.
Joel goes to say goodbye to Zeek and his family, who he’s going to truly miss. Zeek isn’t having it, and tells his son-in-law to go fight for Julia right now.
Drew and Zeek go shooting, and they have a blast.
Joel goes to Julia’s house to fight for her … but is it too late? Follow the link to watch Parenthood online and see how you feel about that very question …
