A-list rebound couple extraordinaire Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin recently broke up … or so we thought. Rumors say the two may be back together.
Yes, already. If they even broke up to start with, which is uncertain.
On October 27, the day Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin broke up, the Hunger Games: Mockingjay actress visited Martin’s Malibu home for several hours.
She returned to his place three nights later, on Thursday.
On Saturday, Lawrence, who Gwyneth Paltrow pressured Martin to dispatch supposedly, was spotted driving out to Martin’s Malibu house again.
While one source says that the two indeed split, but clearly remain friends, another insider says they remain an item and that the breakup report is false.
“They’re very much together,” the Martin insider says, adding:
“He’s very much into her and they’re still seeing each other.”
A rep for Lawrence has not commented. Not surprising.
As for rumors that Jen is upset by Martin’s ongoing closeness to Paltrow, the insider says “she doesn’t give a s— about Gwyneth [and Chris’ relationship].”
So, that’s that.
Lawrence recently bought Jessica Simpson’s former Beverly Hills home for $8.2 million but has yet to move in, and has been traveling to Martin’s turf.
“In the beginning, they would spend almost equal time in the Beverly Hills-West Hollywood area and Malibu,” another source says, but no longer.
“Lately, they have mostly been spending time at his Malibu house, which means she has to drive back and forth, [which is] about a 90-minute commute.”
She’d better enjoy it while it lasts. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay is about to kick off a promotional blitz with a world premiere in London on Nov. 10.
Paltrow, meanwhile, remains close to Martin, recently heaping praise on her ex, calling him “father of the year” at a gala for the AIDS charity amfAr.
As for reports of Paltrow and Martin getting back together, we wouldn’t put a lot of stock in that theory just yet. Their split always seemed to be amicable.
It was conscious uncoupling, after all, not a breakup as mere peasants would term it. Also, the couple has two kids, and are clearly involved parents.
