Caroline compliments Brittany on the outfit, which is a step in the right direction … as his mom, she doesn’t not like her, she just doesn’t really like her.

In any case, she just didn’t realize Brittany would still be around by the time Manzo’d With Children Season 1 Episode 5 came along. Felt like a one and done thing.

Meanwhile, Lauren Manzo is working on renovating Cafface, turning it into a blowout bar she wants to rename “Full Blown,” to Chris’ great amusement.

Undeterred, she wants to assemble some of her best customers, family and friends to see the renovations and “just show them what we can do.”

Caroline asks her if she even planned this out or thought it through. Lauren says she’s sinking all her money into it so it had better work, or it’s over.

Unmoved by her daughter’s vision as she inspects the changes, the matriarch says, “Did you think it through? Did you have a plan? I’m not hearing a plan."

Caroline and Jacqueline sit down to discuss the renovations and their concerns about the plans (or lack thereof) Lauren is putting into motion right now.

They also discuss Brittany, with Caroline saying, “I don’t dislike the girl, but I don’t like her with my son.” Jacque says he will have to realize that for himself.

Lauren at least realizes that the stakes are high.

“If I don’t pull this opening off, I won’t hear the end of it from my mother,” Lauren says, upset at the others for slacking. “This is not a time to have fun.”

Caroline says she’s being too hard on people.

At the big night, Albie brings Brittany, whose skirt is crazy short, which Ron comments on and Caroline defends, saying they should be nice to Albie’s girl.

The opening – not to spoil it if you plan to watch Manzo’d With Children online this minute – is a success and “kind of on budget,” according to Lauren.

Hey, that’s better than totally over budget and a total bust. Right?
