With Teresa and Joe Giudice headed to prison, their eldest daughter Gia Giudice has apparently chosen to distract herself by focusing on her career.
Unfortunately, her chosen line of work is drawing almost as negative attention as her parents' felonious activities.
Gia is the youngest member of an all-girl pop group called 3KT. Sounds innocent enough, but there's controversy surrounding the band for two reasons:
1. Many feel that Teresa is exploiting her daughter and forcing her into music so that she can earn for the family while her parents are locked up.
2. Those who have seen 3KT's first video say that the way that Gia dresses and acts is totally inappropriate for a 13-year-old.
"Teenagers, especially 13-year-olds should never be wearing a leather bustier," a source close to the family tells Radar Online. "What kind of message does this send to other girls their age?"
"Teresa is so proud of Gia and doesn't think there's anything wrong with how she looks in the video. Friends close to Teresa are comparing her to Lindsay Lohan's mom, Dina, which she would probably take as a compliment."
The Giudices haven't told their younger daughters they're headed to prison, and friends and family reportedly believe they're placing too much of the burden on Gia and expecting her to grow up too fast.
In a recent interview, Teresa stated that Gia is "ready to be the mom" while her actual mother is in prison.
