Given the grand scale of the project, and the Internet’s insatiable hunger for spoilers, it was only a matter of time before Batman v Superman plot details began to hit the web, and today we’ve got a doozy.

The film has reportedly employed hundreds of Detroit locals as extras, and despite iron-clad confidentiality agreements, the sheer number number of people on set has make it difficult to keep things under wraps.

First, amateur footage of the Batmobile hit Instagram, and now an extra speaking on condition of anonymity has revealed a bombshell regarding the flick’s casting and storyline. Obviously, spoilers lie ahead:

According to the source, Robin makes an appearance in the film and the Boy Wonder is played by a woman. Some fans have assumed that this tidbit puts an end to speculation as to what part actress Jena Malone will be playing in the film.

That last part hasn’t been confirmed, but given that Malone is a young, relatively high-profile actress and her role has been shrouded in secrecy, it’s safe to assume she’ll be donning the green cape.

The source adds that a scene being filmed this weekend will feature an unmasked Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) physically confronting Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor at a party.

Of course, we’ve already heard some iffy rumors from the set, such as the one about Affleck being so fat producers hired a body double for action scenes.

But these latest leaks come from a local NBC affiliate in Detroit, and not from a sketchy website run by fanboys, so it’s safe to assume there’s some legitimacy to them.

Sadly, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice won’t be released until March of 2016, so at this rate, we’ll know the whole plot by the time the damn thing hits theaters.
