Here is how you know when Jax Teller is headed down a dark and dangerous path:
When a self-admitted ruthless killer gives the SAMCRO President advice that Jax ignores… and you find yourself agreeing with the self-admitted ruthless killer.
Such was the case on Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 3, as August Marks told Jax that their relationship cannot work if it’s based on "secrets and lies."
Jax acts the part of loyal partner, of course, but we then see him team with One-Niners leader Tyler in order to ensure that his purple gang will stick with SAMCRO down the line.
Tyler asks Jax and his crew to help take down a handful of rebellious One-Niners who are planning to splinter off, with our heroes (can we still call them that?) leading the renegades to the guns that were recently stolen by the Mayans… and then gunning them all down.
There’s really no point in even trying to keep a body count this season.
Jax is willing to go to any length possible to ensure his plan goes through, that Lin goes down and that SAMCRO comes out as number-one in the end.
Meanwhile… poor Juice.
He uses Unser to arrange a meeting with Chibbs, asking what he can do to get back in with the club. And Chibbs, Juice’s best friend by far, utters the following line in response:
"If I were you, I’d get that gun, put it in my mouth and pull the trigger."
The outcast ends up in a hotel toward the end of the episode, with no real plan for the future and definitely no chance of wearing his SAMCRO cut again.
Elsewhere:
- Is Sheriff Jarry really dirty? Does she really have a thing for Chibbs? It seemed that way when she accepted his bribe to remain quiet on the Tara murder front, but it seems like someone is playing someone here.
- After hearing only one body was found at the scene, Bobby calls Jury to get information on the two men SAMCRO killed on Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Episode 2. He gives Bobby one name, but withholds the other, who we presume to be his son. Jury is clearly very much aware of what’s going on.
- Wendy walks in on Brooke and Ratboy about to have sex.
- Nero comes to Gemma’s aid when the father of a Diosa employee starts to assault her. Jax ends the hour by getting his own revenge on the man.
- Gemma talks more to Tara, while Abel asks at one point: is my daddy a bad man?
