The Real Housewives of New York City cast may not be in for a good housecleaning after all, according to a new report that indicates ALL of the stars will return.
“The cast members aren’t fired,” a source close to the Bravo production tells Radar. “There’s zero fact to it. Every year they say people will be fired.”
“They’ll put that out there in the news because they always need new girls.”
Of course, Radar‘s one of the most notorious celebrity gossip outlets when it comes to the Real Housewives “hot stove” season, guessing who’s in and who’s out.
The bottom line? All cast members are on one-year deals, so it’s easy to speculate on impending moves. They are, by definition, on the chopping block every year.
At the same time, most of them love the money and fame and come back.
Recent reports that Ramona Singer could be the only one left standing after Season 6 were premature, in other words. As of now, no one has been fired.
“Cast mates do not get fired without anyone knowing,” added the source.
The insider said that veterans Singer and Sonja Morgan, both of whom were asked back after a big offseason musical chairs session last year, are in.
“When it’s time to do negotiations Ramona and Sonja would be the first to know,” the source added. “There is no show without Ramona and Sonja.”
“Sonja is the funny sex pot, and Ramona’s the one who throws glasses.”
This is true. Luann de Lesseps, who used to be a full-time star but now appears on a recurring basis, will likely do so again – and do it for FREE.
“Luann was not eve getting paid this season. She had to suck it up because they wanted her back, but didn’t want pay her,” said the Bravo insider.
As for Kristen Taekman, Heather Thomson and Aviva Drescher?
Don’t expect the latter to be gone, that’s for sure. If you saw Aviva Drescher throw her leg this summer, you know that left an indelible mark on the series.
One Andy Cohen and Co. are not likely to let go by the wayside.
