Please no, she said.
With talk of a Murder, She Wrote remake swimming around NBC - it would star Octavia Spencer as a nurse who also solves crimes - actress Angela Lansbury has come out and made her feelings on the idea well known.
And it's safe to say she isn't on board.
Said Lansbury to The Associated Press:
"I think it's a mistake to call it 'Murder, She Wrote,' because 'Murder, She Wrote' will always be about a Cabot Cove and this wonderful little group of people who told those lovely stories and enjoyed a piece of that place, and also enjoyed Jessica Fletcher, who is a rare and very individual kind of person."
Lansbury portrayed Fletcher for 12 seasons of the drama, along with four television movies on CBS.
The multiple-time Tony Award winner made sure to say she was a fan of Spencer's... just not this proposal.
"I'm sorry that they have to use the title 'Murder, She Wrote,' even though they have access to it and it's their right."
What do YOU think? Should there be a Murder, She Wrote remake?
