Aaaaaaaand Dancing With the Stars is back for its 17th season on ABC!

On Monday’s season premiere, we saw 12 (quasi) celebs take to the parquet with the goal of hoisting the Mirror Ball and/or boosting their careers.

Some were better than others. Who do you think is the favorite? Put another way, who is your favorite to make it all the way to the end this spring?

Tonight was competition only, but the first duo will be eliminated next Monday, combining judges’ scores from that night and public votes from tonight.

No more Tuesday results shows this season, in a departure from past years.

All in all, it was a terrific showing for the first week of the fall campaign from the new cast. Read our breakdown and scores from the premiere after the jump …

Brant Daugherty kicked off the night and the season with pro partner Peta Murgatroyd dancing the Cha Cha Cha. Very easy on the eyes, both of them.

Leah Remini made her debut with partner Tony Dovolani. Bruno said: “She went Miley Cyrus for a moment. I want you to Twerk!” No. Just … no.

Corbin Bleu danced Contemporary with Karina Smirnoff. “It was beautiful and passionate!” said Judge Carrie Ann Inaba of one of the night’s best.

Jack Osbourne danced the Foxtrot with Cheryl Burke while his folks, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, watched and sobbed from the crowd. With joy.

Amber Riley, dancing with Derek Hough, killed the Cha Cha Cha! “You are the tigress,” Bruno said, and she earned the highest debut score EVER.

Elizabeth Berkley danced with a near-shirtless Val Chmerkovsky. “It was just lovely to watch,” Len raved of the showgirl, and he was sort of right.

Bill Nye danced the Cha Cha Cha with new pro Tyne Stecklein. It was not good. The science jokes followed, and Bill ended up near the bottom.

Keyshawn Johnson danced the Cha Cha Cha with new pro Sharna Burgess, and disappointed with his lack of timing and energy. Better step up!

Christina Milian danced Contemporary with Mark Ballas, a dance that the judges felt suited them both. They could be a couple to watch this season.

Bill Engvall danced the Foxtrot with new pro Emma Slater. “It needed a little bit more fluidity but well done!” Len said. At least he beat the other Bill.

Valerie Harper, who is currently battling terminal cancer, danced the Foxtrot with Tristan MacManus and got a standing ovation before they even started.

Snooki wrapped things up by dancing the Cha Cha Cha with Sasha Farber. There was even a fist pump involved by Nicole … Snicole … whatever.
