Jaden Smith may or may not be dating Kylie Jenner.
But regardless of his son's relationship with that reality star, it seems clear his dad isn't pining to have the Kardashians as his in-laws.
In an interview with Vulture, Will Smith was asked about his family versus that other famous family, seeing as both have children that are well-known, both are often in the news, both...
... let Will stop you right there.
"For our family, the entire structure of our life, our home, our business relationships - the entire purpose is for everyone to be able to create in a way that makes them happy," Smith says.
"Fame is almost an inconsequential by-product of what we’re really trying to accomplish. We are trying to put great things into the world, we’re trying to have fun, and we’re trying to become the greatest versions of ourselves in the process of doing things we love."
And how does that compare to Kim Kardashian? Or, better yet, to Kris Jenner and how she seems to push her kids into the spotlight?
"The idea of fame or exploitation or orchestrating the media is sometimes even less than desirable for us," the movie star says.
Will also insists that he would never - ever, ever, ever - pressure his children into acting or singing. Case in point:
Willow Smith turned down a chance to star in a new version of Annie because she wanted to attend school as a 12-year old. And that was all good with her dad.
Jenner, meanwhile? She just heard a spot was open in Annie and we're pretty sure she called Kendall's agent to get her an audition.
