Christina Aguilera has two words for critics of her body: eat it.

Granted, the singer put it a tad more delicately this weekend during a panel discussion at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. While promoting The Voice, Christina took time to address those who have called out her weight gain. (Hello, Kelly Osbourne!)

“Women, we are definitely under a microscope and under massive scrutiny,” Aguilera told reporters. “As long as I am happy in my own skin, that is all that is all the confirmation I need.”

It helps, too, that Aguilera is surrounded by positive people and support.

“I have a boyfriend that loves my body,” she said of Matt Rutler. “I love my body, my son is healthy and happy and that is all that matters.”

The Voice returns to NBC Super Bowl night (February 5), and the artist concluded with an appreciation for how she can use that competition to her advantage, as well as the advantage of those under her watch:

“Being in a position to coach these young women, I am happy to be able to share that with them and share my highs and lows. Being on the show, it’s a very good outlet for me.”
