R&B singer Nivea Hamilton (a.k.a. Nivea) was arrested for DUI in Atlanta this weekend after driving her into a tree with a child in the vehicle.
Usually not a good situation.
The drama began after Nivea, who is believed to be Lil Wayne’s baby mama #4, left a nearby wedding reception for her friend Toya Carter (Weezy’s baby mama #1), where she also hung out with Lauren London (#3). Standard.
Nivea was on the road around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday when she plowed her Mercedes into a tree that had fallen into the road during a recent storm.
When cops arrived, Nivea had “bloodshot, glassy eyes and smelled like alcohol.” Nivea told police she only had three drinks earlier in the evening.
Whatever she had, she didn’t see the bright yellow police tape and traffic cones directing cars away from the downed tree, and drilled that piece.
Nivea was eventually arrested on suspicion of DUI and reckless driving. The child in the car was not injured and was released to Nivea’s boyfriend.
