Kanye West Takes Credit for Succes of Taylor Swift

You’re welcome, Taylor Swift.

In the light of the mammoth, global success this artist has enjoyed over the last year, culminating in over one million copies of her new album being sold already, that’s the message Kanye West has for the 19-year old.

If not for this moment, would Taylor Swift even have a career?!? Kanye West isn’t certain.

On the radio radio show “Mojo in the Morning” yesterday, the rapper continued to bring up his 2009 MTV Music Awards incident and made it clear that his rude behavior at that event “spawned” Taylor’s popularity. In his view, at least.

“I feel like when Taylor was getting all those magazine covers, she was all good then,” Kanye said. “I feel completely empathetic and sympathize with that moment of her feeling bad, that spawned her to have one million magazine covers and be the most popular artist in the world, but in that moment of her feeling bad, I do feel bad about being the cause of that.”

Only Kanye West could try to come across as apologetic, only to end up taking credit for someone else’s incredible career.
