In a pair of recent statements, Christina Aguilera let down two different groups of people:
- Those that clamor for a Christina/Laday Gaga feud.
- Those that wish to see Christina have sex with a woman.
First, Aguilera took to her official blog and, once and for all, shot down talk that she and Lady Gaga are remotely at odds. She wrote:
I have absolutely nothing against Lady Gaga or any other female artist in this business. I think she is great, and I appreciate any woman fearless enough to go against the norm. She has earned her success with hard work and a clear focus and I have nothing but respect for that. There is room for all of us on everyone’s iPods.
That’s reasonable, mature… and boring.
From there, in a new feature in Out magazine (click on pics below), Christina was asked about hooking up with a female. She replied:
“I don’t think I could ever really be with a woman because… there’s a lot of estrogen and I’m a lot to deal with when it’s that time of the month, so I can’t imagine it times two.”
That’s also reasonable, mature… and boring. We thought Xtina was edgy! But now she’s refusing to go gay and coming to the aid of Haitian refugees. It’s just so sad.
