Amy Winehouse has entered a plea of not guilty to charges of assaulting a fan last September. The singer, wearing her signature beehive, showed up slightly late.

When the Grammy winner arrived at the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court, she gave her name as Amy Jade Civil – despite reports of her impending divorce from estranged husband Blake Fielder-Civil. She was released on bail.

The charge stems from a September 26 incident when Winehouse allegedly hit dancer Sherene Flash in the face after she asked to take a picture with Amy.
Last week, Winehouse canceled her appearance at the Coachella festival in April due to her legal problems, which would make it difficult for Amy to obtain a U.S. visa. Her rep confirmed the cancellation was due to “current legal issues.”
