Also known as Con-jack, Simon Monjack was a British screenwriter and the husband of Brittany Murphy. This fool was one screwed up guy...

Was Brittany Murphy's husband sleeping with her mom - literally, not in the sexual sense - after she died? That's the implication of a new coroner's report.

Murphy passed away in December, and Simon Monjack, her husband, died a few months later. Both deaths were attributed to pneumonia and drug use.

Brittany's mom, Sharon Murphy, lived in the home they shared. Which brings us to today's report from the coroner's office about Monjack sleeping with her.

According to a report, an investigator walked through Simon's bedroom with a woman who identified one side of Simon's bed as "her side of the bed."

The woman's name was withheld from the report then, but law enforcement sources have in fact identified her as Brittany Murphy's mom, Sharon.

Simon and Brittany

Married in 2007, Simon and Brittany both have passed on.

Sharon Murphy lashed out today at the L.A. County Coroner's report on Simon Monjack's death, calling it misleading that she shared a bed with him.

In a statement, Sharon says, "I am very disturbed that the L.A. Coroners [sic] office continues to release things to the media that are misleading."

She continues, "The TMZ story with it's [sic] salacious headline suggesting that my prescious [sic] son-in-law Simon and I slept in bed together."

"Infering [sic] sexual contact is journalism at its lowest."

In reality, TMZ's story made it clear - even going out of its way to say - that the Coroner's report did not suggest sexual contact between them.

A Coroner's Office spokesperson says the report, which also says there were meds prescribed to "Sharon Monjack," which she denies, speaks for itself.

The late Brittany Murphy's husband, Simon Monjack, was shrouded in mystery and suspicion from the moment they wed in 2007 until his own death this year.

Now new allegations are flying about her controversial spouse, whose business manager, Jeffrey Morgenroth, says he liquidated a majority of her accounts.

Mr. & Mrs. Monjack

"There were huge amounts in pension and bank accounts, and all of that's gone," he says. "There was money being withdrawn by Simon, hundreds of thousands."

Six months after the 32-year-old star's death in December from pneumonia, anemia and drug intoxication, Monjack had withdrawn 80 percent of her wealth.

His own death from anemia and pneumonia in May ended this sad saga on a tragic note, likely relegating any ulterior motives he had to speculation alone.

Where is the money? What was he doing with it? One person it matters deeply to is Brittany's mom Sharon, 57, who faces financial uncertainty as a result.

Troubled follows Simon Monjack, even in death.

After Monjack died, Jeannette Bycott, an assistant to Morgenroth, says Monjack's mom Linda ordered Sharon Murphy to leave the couple's Hollywood Hills house.

Both Murphys and Monjack lived in the house, and Brittany's mother spoke fondly of Simon, at least in public, in the wake of Brittany's tragic passing.

"Linda basically started acting like everything belongs to her," says Bycott. "Before Sharon could say anything, Linda stated the house was now hers."

Linda Monjack, also grieving the loss of her child, denies any wrongdoing by Simon. "If there is money missing I have no idea where it is," she said.

"He didn't get much, maybe a few hundred dollars, and he paid off debts with it. He spent most of his time crying his eyes out most of the time."

"He was in a terrible state."

The late Simon Monjack was, by all accounts, a shady individual with his fare share of detractors - the list of which is sure to grow with the following revelation.

A laptop has unearthed a secret Brittany Murphy's husband carried to his grave when he suddenly passed away last month. Two secrets, to be more accurate.

Kids. Illegitimate ones. With different women.

Simon's mother, brother and therapist stayed at his home last week with Brittany Murphy's mom, Sharon Murphy, who had been living with Brittany and Simon.

When they left, they took Simon's laptop. At some point, they went through it and found emails from two women wanting money from Simon for child support.

According to TMZ, citing people who have reviewed the emails on Simon's computer, Con-Jack had a son with one baby mama and a daughter by another. Wow.

Wife and Husband

BAD SEED: Simon Monjack was a shady man indeed.

He was really living up to his seedy reputation. Also in the computer were wire transfers of large amounts of money - as much as $48,000 in a single transfer.

Simon, who our readers decried and lambasted from day one, was sending the money to lawyers, as well as someone in Europe for some sort of settlement.

Reports say the family of Simon Monjack felt the coroner should have the laptop and handed it over. The coroner's office is currently reviewing the contents.

Oh, and Sharon Murphy apparently went ballistic and filed a theft report with the local police, adding another interesting twist to this already bizarre saga.

Brittany Murphy died after suffering cardiac arrest in December.

What else was he hiding? Did Brittany Murphy know about Simon's children? Was he siphoning her money to pay their child support? We may never know.

Simon Monjack has been buried next to Brittany Murphy following a service attended by 75 friends and family members at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in L.A.

“It was Simon's wish to be laid to rest next to her," said family spokesman Roger Neal at the private orthodox Jewish service. Monjack died on Sunday night.

Mr. & Mrs. Monjack

The got to be together one last time as a rendition of Murphy singing a rendition of “Smile,” featuring Simon Monjack on the piano, was played to mourners.

A photo of the couple also sat on Monjack’s casket.

Tragically and appropriately, Simon and Brittany are together again.

"Sharon (Brittany’s mom) was strong and spoke at the service about how much she loved Simon, and how now Simon and Brittany are together,” added Neal.

"She told them, 'I'll miss you my babies.' She is understandably feeling devastated by the loss of a daughter and a son-in-law in the space of six months."

Monjack died in the house he shared with Murphy and her mother, who called 911 after finding both of them unconscious in the same room, months apart.

The preliminary cause of death for Simon has been listed as natural causes, not a drug overdose, though the L.A. Coroner’s office is conducting an autopsy.

Rest in peace, Simon and Brittany.

Simon Monjack, who died Sunday in the Hollywood home he once shared with wife Brittany Murphy, had a heart condition and was due to have bypass surgery.

This according a rep for Murphy's mother, who also lost Brittany in December.

"I can tell you he was excited about what the future held in terms of the legacy of Brittany Murphy," publicist Roger Neal told reporters. "He looked fine to me."

Neal said he last saw Simon Monjack on Saturday, and used the opportunity to set the record straight: "As far as we know he passed away of natural causes."

Monjack was 40, not 39 as was previously reported, he said. Also, there is no indication that he died of an accidental drug overdose, as some reports suggest.

Simon and Brittany

R.I.P. Brittany and Simon married in 2007.

"He did have a heart condition [and] due for bypass heart surgery. What's been on TMZ I don't believe is correct at all; anything that they have intimated is not correct," Neal said. "He was a man full of life and a man excited about the future."

The accidental overdose theory was floated by the celebrity gossip site yesterday, just hours after Sharon Murphy discovered him unconscious in his bedroom.

Sadly and eerily, Sharon was the one who found her own daughter's lifeless body five months ago and made the dreaded 911 call to the paramedics afterward.

"It is a very sad day for Ms. Murphy," Neal said. "In less than six months she suffered a double loss. We are asking that the media be as respectful as possible."

"She's devastated. She's very strong. I don't know how you handle something like that. She is resting. Sharon loved Simon as a son. They were a close family."

The rep said Simon Monjack dreamed of carrying on his wife's legacy.

"Brittany's dream, as was Simon's, was to help children who want to learn to do ballet, sing, etcetera, who couldn't afford it. [He] would raise money for it."

How did Brittany Murphy's husband suddenly die just months after the actress herself succumbed to cardiac arrest at her Los Angeles home at age 32?

Law enforcement sources say there are signs that an accidental overdose of prescription drugs may have left Simon Monjack dead at home last night.

Mr. & Mrs. Monjack

There is no official word yet, but a well-placed source says, "There were a number of pill bottles on the nightstand in the bedroom; some were empty."

This is clearly and eerily similar to the death of Monjack's wife, Brittany Murphy, in December, after which an array of prescription drugs were found.

On the nightstand of the same bedroom where Monjack died, no less.

Many of the drugs on Simon Monjack's nightstand were the same as the ones found after Brittany died, too. But the actress' death was ruled natural.

R.I.P. Brittany Murphy and Simon Monjack.

One law enforcement source says that the two causes of death that seem most plausible right now are both "natural" and "accidental drug overdose."

Monjack suffered a heart attack during a November incident when he had a medical emergency aboard an airplane and paramedics met him at LAX.

Brittany's mother, Sharon Murphy, discovered Monjack's body. Sharon was also the one who found her daughter, Brittany, unconscious in December.

Those close to Monjack never recovered from the death of his wife. Sources say he was often unshaven and had gained considerable weight since.

He repeatedly and very publicly decried reports that hinted his widow died of a drug overdose and described living every day without her as painful.

The 39-year-old made a fortune trading currency but his wealth brought him little comfort. A source who knew Simon Monjack well told Radar Online:

“In past months he didn’t feel well. He never told me exactly why but he was having physical problems as well as being emotionally devastated."

Simon Monjack has died. The late Brittany Murphy's husband was found unconscious last night and pronounced dead soon after her mother called 911.

Law enforcement sources say Brittany's mom, Sharon, discovered him around 9:30, unresponsive. Simon Monjack was pronounced dead after paramedics arrived.

He was just 39 years old.

No cause of death is known, however, local broadcasts cited law enforcement sources saying it appeared to be a heart attack. Detectives are investigating.

The LAPD was at the home now along with the coroner, and a death investigation is underway. Many more details are sure to follow as the story develops.

R.I.P. Simon Monjack and Brittany Murphy.

The similarities of the spouses' deaths are chilling. Both were found unconscious by Sharon in the same room, possibly having succumbed to cardiac arrest.

Brittany Murphy died from cardiac arrest just five months ago on December 20. Despite being plagued by rumors of illegal drug use and eating disorders, her death was cause by pneumonia, an iron deficiency, anemia and multiple (prescription) drugs.

Strangely enough, two weeks before Brittany Murphy died, paramedics met the couple's return flight from Puerto Rico at LAX and took Simon Monjack straight to the hospital because he was experiencing trouble breathing on board.

He was long considered a shady, borderline criminal individual and was under much scrutiny throughout their marriage, which began back in 2007.

Monjack has actively defended Murphy in the months since she died, and even set up a sham charity in her name (he later returned all donations). We'll have more on this breaking story as soon as information becomes available.

Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack is furious over a report that the star obtained medication - a majority of which is MIA - just before she died.

The late actress, who died in December, allegedly secured a prescription for 120 hydrocodone pills 11 days before her death. Only 11 were found after.

At the recommended maximum of four per day, she would have taken only 44 of them, and you can do the math there. So where are the missing pills?

Monjack says the pills were prescribed to Brittany’s mom Sharon, a cancer survivor, and the report is so outrageous that he's considering legal action.

What a surprise there.

Mr. & Mrs. Monjack

THE MONJACKS: Simon Monjack has been outspoken since Brittany's passing. Is he trying to clear her name, or his own? What is his agenda at the end of the day?

The release of Brittany Murphy’s autopsy report on February 26 ended all rumors and hurtful speculation that the actress had abused drugs, Simon says.

But a day after that report was released, a website claimed that 109 pills were missing from a bottle of 120, leading to renewed speculation over Murphy.

The article asked why so many pills prescribed in the first place, and by whom, while saying Simon Monjack has provided no help in locating the doctor.

As always, the bad seed has his own version of events.

According to Brittany Murphy's recently-released autopsy, "multiple medications were present in the blood, with elevated levels of hydrocodone, acetaminophen, and chlorpheniramine."

Because these were prescription drugs, not illegal ones, attention-loving husband Simon Monjack says the report vindicates him.

"She never did anything that she was accused of!" Monjack told Us Weekly. "We never hid anything. And that's been the case with everything in our marriage. Maybe with her death, people will start to realize - yes, we had a lot of prescriptions around, but if you look at some of them, they date from 2001!"

Simon and Brittany

Monjack - who has been accused of setting up a fake charity in his late wife's name in order to extort mourners - says he found "solace" in the autopsy and rejects the idea that Murphy's death could have been prevented.

"Any death could be prevented," he said. "It's a tragedy."

True. But this wasn't the case of someone getting hit by a drunken driver. Murphy's death has been ruled an "accident," but either Brittany, Simon or both were negligent in some manner when it came to the medication in her system.

In the end, Monjack wants people to leave him alone and "stop coming out with these ridiculous stories" about his relationship with the actress.

"Our marriage was dogged by these ridiculous rumors. Brittany's life was dogged by ridiculous rumors, and the truth always wins out," Simon said. "I hope people have the sense to really understand that everything was beautiful and wonderful in our relationship and so pure."

Just shut up for a few days, dude, and we'll be happy to never say a word about this tragedy again.

Simon Monjack is the epitome of a bad seed.

Dude is such a shady character that minutes after Brittany Murphy died, THG readers were speculating that he must have had something to do with her demise.

That's unfair to the guy. But little he does can be taken at face value. Such is the case with the Brittany Murphy Foundation, a charity he started to honor her.

The only problem? It's not really a charity.

The Brittany Murphy Foundation run by Simon Monjack and Brittany's mother Sharon hadn't filed the necessary documents to qualify as a charity or nonprofit.

As soon as this was reported, its website was shut down. It's now back up with the following notice, promising to give back all donations so far ...

Brit Found

Pretty sketchy explanation about getting off the ground quickly ... definitely not to capitalize on media attention paid to the late 32-year-old's tragic death. Naw.

The non-foundation says it will wait "until we have our non-profit status approved before proceeding to insure we can truly honor Brittany's charitable desires."

If those desires included a Simon Monjack Drinking Fund, she's smiling somewhere right now. If they were anything else, we wouldn't be holding our breath.
