Some people legitimately can't eat gluten for medical reasons, but Jimmy Kimmel recently discovered this week that lot of people don't eat it because ...

Well, we honestly don't know. In fact, they can't even tell you what gluten is, so if you're waiting for an explanation that has any merit, don't hold your breath.

NOTE: If you're going to swear off of a type of food, you may want to have some grasp of what it is you're eschewing and why. Just an idea, gluten-free citizens:

Gluten, according to the Internet, is composed of the gliadin and glutenin proteins and is responsible for the elasticity of dough. The more you know!

The reason people hate on it? Gluten intolerance is commonly known as celiac disease, which affects one in every 141 people in the United States.

Sounds pretty rough ... if you actually have that. Not if someone in your yoga class told you gluten is bad and you talk about it just to sound trendy.

More classic Kimmel clips after the jump ...

With Jimmy Fallon busy engaging in lip-syncing battles over on NBC, Jimmy Kimmel stepped up his competitive game yesterday by pitting Julia Roberts against Sally Field.

In TV's first-ever Celebrity Curse-Off!

"We are honored to have both Sally Field and Julia Roberts on the show tonight, and it's also an opportunity to find out which of these incredibly talented women has the foulest mouth," Kimmel said. "Cover your ears, America."

The rules were simple: one actress has five seconds to say a curse word. And then the other must respond with a different curse word of her own.

Who failed to come up with a fresh swear in time? Find out now!

We may never look at Sally Field and Julia Roberts the same way again.

We've already heard from a number of celebrities when it comes to Donald Sterling.

But Jimmy Kimmel took viewers inside an African-American barbershop last night to gauge reaction from average men on the street in regard to this racist A-Hole.

In a hilarious segment, these men say Sterling's lifetime ban actually isn't enough; discuss how he erred in his handling of his "side chick;" and wonder if one can actually attend racist rehab.

Watch now:

Perhaps the most shocking development in this video: Kimmel actually pays!

Scandal, known for its fast-paced, wicked-sharp dialogue, crazy good fashion, and jaw-dropping drama, comes across as having quite the polished and professional cast of actors. (Well, aside from that whole Columbus Short arrest thing maybe...)

But that doesn't mean they're always perfect on the first take. And this Scandal blooper reel from Jimmy Kimmel's "Behind the Scandalabra" bit pretty hilariously proves it.

Harrison dances, Mellie has a potty mouth, and then there's Olivia Pope tying penises together. (Andre Johnson's johnson what??)

Oh, and you ABSOLUTELY must see what Huck and Quinn did with a Shake Weight.

Pour yourself a glass (or bottle) of pinot and pop some popcorn and then get ready to laugh with Scandal.

In case you want more, you can watch Scandal online at TV Fanatic to see how beautifully these outtakes were turned into their dramatic realities.

Drake is used to being interviewed, but he turned the tables on pedestrians with a head-to-toe disguise for a "Lie Witness News" segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Wearing a mustache, beard and glasses, Drake asked random people on the street what they think about Drake, and how he did hosting the 2014 ESPYs.

Which aren't until July 16, obviously. Watch the hilarity unfold ...

“I think he definitely killed it, he did an awesome performance,” one passerby responded of the award show the Canadian rapper will host this summer.

Another person, meanwhile, feels that Drake “says he came from the bottom when most likely he didn’t,” while yet another called him a “chicken head.”

When a guy with a guitar said, “I don’t like Drake, I think he’s an actor, he’s not a real rapper,” faux Drake asked him to sing a song dissing Drake, and he did.

“Drake hey I think you suck! Maybe you should try to actually play an instrument bro. Stop acting, you suck,” he sang ... as Drake himself stood there idly.

Not all celebrities get along like peanut butter and jelly, milk and cookies, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez.

Over the past few years, feuds have broken out in Hollywood over mental health issues; late night talk show skits; and Kim Kardashian sex tape parodies.

Who won each of these rivalries? The public, really. They were darn entertaining!

Click around below to relive the back-and-forth between Kathy and Dami, David and Bristol, Kanye and Kimmel and many other famous folks who simply don't see eye-to-eye:

Katy Perry vs. Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift wrote a song titled "Bad Blood" about an enemy in the music business. We're pretty sure the subject was Katy Perry.

Jimmy Kimmel can't fight it any longer. And, really, neither should we.

On last night’s episode of this comedian’s talk show, the host gave in and admitted: Kim, Kourtney and Khloe pretty much run the universe.

To drive this depressing point home, Kimmel showed viewers a trailer for a phony PBS special documentary “The Kardahsian Konquest: The Taking Of America,” which chronicles every city the clan has "taken."

Up next, for example, Khloe and Kourtney are taking the Hamptons.

"Their furious march for domination continued, taking town after town, basketball player after basketball player, until the Kanye West was won," recounted a narrator.

Hilarious stuff. Watch now:

Kids indeed say the darndest (and dirtiest) things, as Jimmy Kimmel proves beyond the shadow of a doubt in a new segment asking them to do just that.

On Tuesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, following the viral YouTube video of a toddler asked by his dad to rattle off all the bad words he knows, the host ran with it.

The host, whose love of kids cursing is well documented, approached children on Hollywood Boulevard and asked, “Do you know any naughty words?”

It turns out they do, and then some.

Lie Witness News: Barack Obama Birthday Edition!
Jimmy Kimmel Live makes up stories about Barack Obama for this edition of Lie Witness News. And everyone believes the lies!

Or words they think are dirty, anyway. The results were surprising, adorable, hilarious and eye-opening at the same time. Maybe they know something we don't?

Kids. They're the best.

Attention, Ellen DeGeneres: Jimmy Kimmel will see your Bradley Cooper and raise you three Clintons in the selfie he posted to his followers over the weekend:

Jimmy Kimmel, Clintons Selfie

Kimmel took the photo at the Clinton Global Initiative University in Tempe, Ariz., where he interviewed the former first family in front of 1,000 students.

"@TheEllenShow No Brad Cooper but 3 Clintons & a Kimmel @HillaryClinton @ChelseaClinton @Bill Clinton #selfie," Kimmel tweeted Saturday.

He was referring to DeGeneres' Oscar "selfie" featuring Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Kevin Spacey and Bradley Cooper this month.

Though mightily impressive, Kimmel's pic going to have a hard time besting Ellen’s star-studded, record-breaking effort at the 2014 Academy Awards.

A decently sized Los Angeles earthquake shook up residents of California this week.

Did you catch how these anchors reacted when it hit? Pretty funny stuff.

But not nearly as funny as Jimmy Kimmel Live taking to the streets and asking folks if they are prepared for the really BIG earthquake that is scheduled to hit the next morning.

You know, the one they made up.

But watch pedestrians react as if they're totally familiar with this fake natural disaster, highlighted by one guy saying he read about it on Facebook:

Lie Witness News has become one of Kimmel's most hilarious bits.
