The beef is squashed. But the legend of Kanye West remains.

The rapper appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, just a couple weeks after going off on an epic rant against the talk show host.

And after Kimmel tried to diffuse the tension via a bit of small talk (asking about West's  outfit and grill), he actually showed a clip of the skit that started the feud… and then it was all classic Kanye.

As best we can gather, here's a rundown of the rambling thoughts offered up by Kanye West during a lengthy interview:

Set your DVRs, THGers: Kanye West is on his way to Jimmy Kimmel Live.

In late September, the rapper WENT OFF on the talk show host after Kimmel mocked an interview Kanye conducted with BBC, portraying the artist as immature and insecure.

Kanye's Tweets were so extreme and seemingly so uncalled for that many wondered whether the feud was nothing more than a publicity stunt.

However, West continued the tirade for days, referring to Kimmel as evil and making his beef look rather legitimate.

Jimmy Kimmel took to the public for another classic segment in which he asked people for their views on Obamacare and the Affordable Care Act.

It turns out, at least based on this small sample size, that plenty of people in America absolutely hate Obamacare, but love the Affordable Care Act.

Which is interesting, considering they are the exact. Same. Thing.

Obamacare, of course, is just a nickname - originally used pejoratively by opponents but later embraced by Obama himself - for the landmark legislation.

What Kimmel found is that many provisions of the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (its full name) are viewed positively by the public.

Obamacare, though? Don't even get them started on that debacle.

It may even be worth shutting down the federal government over.

Is the rivalry already over?

Just a couple days after going off on Jimmy Kimmel for a sketch the talk show host ran that made fun of his BBC Radio 1 interview, Kanye West has deleted all traces of this feud.

The rapper had taken extreme issue with Kimmel mocking him as arrogant and childish, Tweeting up a storm on Thursday that called the comedian out for his ugly face and for the lack of "good pussy" in his life.

Sorry. But that's what Kanye said.

Is the Jimmy Kimmel-Kanye West feud real or fake? That's for readers to decide.

But one thing is certain: it's ongoing!

Following last night's Twitter tirade against Kimmel, West took to the social media site again today and once again laid the written smackdown on the talk show host.

The 36-year-old rapper wrote that the subtle message of the comedian's parody of his BBC Radio interview this week was to “keep people in a box."

He's done it to us before, folks.

Remember that epic Twerking fail video? All the work of Jimmy Kimmel.

So you'll understand if we're a bit hesitant to believe that the talk show host is really beefing with Kanye West, following the rapper's Twitter rant against the comedian yesterday in response to Kimmel mocking a recent Kanye interview.

Does Kanye really take himself so seriously that he can't handle a little joke?

Like the hair on baby mama Kim Kardashian, Kanye West really needs to lighten up.

Earlier this week, on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host mocked Kanye's recent BBC Radio 1 Interview, during which West referred to himself as the number-one rock star on the planet.

Kimmel replaced West in the sketch with a whining child... and West proceeded to respond like a whiny child.

"JIMMY KIMMEL PUT YOURSELF IN MY SHOES… OH NO THAT MEANS YOU WOULD HAVE GOTTEN TOO MUCH GOOD P**** IN YOUR LIFE…," Kanye Tweeted.

Jimmy Kimmel is really cementing his place among the late night TV greats with these staged pranks. His latest? A faux freak-out by Julia Louis-Dreyfus!

If there was a doubt as to whether or not Julia deserved her place among last weekend's Emmy winners (for Veep), this effort should put them to rest.

In the spirit of viral public meltdowns like Whitney Mongiat or Wendy's drive-thru guy, Kimmel aired a hilarious video of the star losing her mind.

Unlike his epic Twerking fail, he didn't pass it off as a real thing ... but JLD's rant about the poor coffee shop service would give Elaine Benes pause:

Jimmy Kimmel Live took its recurring "Lie Witness News" segment to New York Fashion Week, and the results were as hilarious as you might imagine.

Fashion Week, as we know, brings together celebrity gossip bloggers, designers, photographers, stars and fans looking to get a glimpse of the action.

Kimmel decided to interview some of those Fashion Week attendees in hopes of gaining insight into some haute couture designers who really don't exist.

Watch below as the interviewees lie, BS and talk out of their collective a$$es about how much they totes LOVE the fake labels' new collection this fall!

On a side note, we would pay to see what George Costanza designs would actually produce. Ditto Purina Chow. Would they only design for canines?

Not quite up there with his all-time hoax - engineering the epic Twerking fail prank on the entire Internet - but another fine effort from Kimmel, for sure.

Give credit where credit is due.

After seeing last Friday's viral Twerking fail video, in which a girl was knocked over and set herself on fire, we suspected something might be amiss.

Who was the mystery girl involved? Why does the video stop so abruptly at that moment? How the heck does that possibly happen to someone in general?!

Still, it was convincing enough that we bought it ... even though it was all a prank courtesy of Jimmy Kimmel Live and a professional stuntwoman. Watch:

Kimmel began a segment Monday night as if it were a real "interview" with Caitlin Heller, the Twerking video star. But then he revealed the truth.

Jimmy and Daphne (Caitlin's not even her name) put this on YouTube and let the Internet work its magic, and did it ever. Job very well done, guys.

Kimmel says he hopes this will put an end to Twerking once and for all, though that still doesn't solve the problem of the Miley Cyrus "Wrecking Ball" video.

Here's the original, viral Twerking fail video we ran like everyone else:
