This Sunday, two longtime foes will face off in a battle that’s sure to result in bloodshed, agony and heartbreak.
No, we’re not talking about Steph Curry and LeBron James.
We’re talking about the Battle of the Bastards , aka Bastard Bowl I, aka Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton’s fight for control of Jon’s childhood home, Winterfell.
Who will emerge victorious?
Well, we’ve made some guesses , but the show has been as unpredictable as LeBron’s hairline this season, and it’s possible that there could be an upset in store.
Check out the production stills below to search for clues about which bastard will come out on top, and watch Game of Thrones online to get caught up in time for what may well be the season’s most thrilling episode to date.
Jon Snow vs. the Bolton Army Snow on the ground! Has Jon been unhorsed, or did he choose to take on his foes on foot. All we know for sure is, Sunday night can’t get here soon enough.
Tormund is Angry Could this be Tormund’s final battle? We certainly hope not, but there’s bound to be plenty of bloodshed on both sides.
Ramsay Bolton’s Army Ramsay has assembled a fighting force of 5,000. The odds are decidedly against Jon Snow and his rag-tag band of warriors.
Jon Snow: Battle of the Bastards Jon Snow is ready to throw down with Ramsay Bolton. We could be in store for one of the most satisfying deaths in GoT history.
Wun Wun the Giant Jon’s troops will be badly outnumbered by Ramsay’s in the fight for Winterfell. Fortunately, Jon has a freakin’ giant!
Battle of the Bastards Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton are about to butt heads. The battle for Winterfell will likely be among the most epic in GoT history.
Wildling Army Tormund and his bearded brothers. Ramsay’s army may be bigger, but our money’s on these guys.
Davos Seaworth on Land Davos has been Jon’s right hand man all season. Hopefully, having the Onion Knight as a sidekick will work out better for Jon than it did for Stannis Baratheon.
Sansa and Jon Half-siblings reunited. With Winterfell under Bolton control, it’s up to these two to win back their childhood home.
Tormund and Davos Two unlikely allies fighting for a noble cause. We can’t imagine the consequences if Jon’s forces are defeated by Ramsay’s.
Sansa Readies For Revenge Sansa has her chance to see Ramsay get what’s coming to him. We’re guessing this episode will take place all in one locale, a la Season 4’s “The Watchers on the Wall.”
The Bolton Army The shields with the “flayed man” of the Boltons. Surely the most disturbing sigil in Westeros.
Davos Mourns This beautiful shot appears to show Davos in mourning. We doubt it’s a new death, or HBO probably would’ve kept this one to themselves.
Melisandre Is Back Melisandre played a HUGE role in the first few episodes of this season, but we haven’t seen her since. Could she have a hand in the outcome of the Battle of the Bastards?
Tormund Under the Stark Flag We bet Ned Stark never thought he’d see a Wildling riding under the Stark banner. of course, Ned probably never thought he’d see a guy like Ramsay in control of Winterfell.
Jon Snow: Ready For Battle (HBO) Jon Snow is ready to face off with Ramsay. On second thought, one can never be ready for battle with the Devil incarnate.
