So many questions.
First off, who paid for the ring?
Second, who paid for the trip?
Probably answer: photographer Michael Simon, who – according to Toofab – captured Dean McDermott’s proposal to wife Tori Spelling at Cafe de L’Homme in Paris, France.
The only picture is available via a photo agency, which means payday for Tori and Dean, who have been plagued with financial troubles over the past year.
McDermott, Spelling told Simon "arranged to have the terrace all reserved and private for us, and told me we were going to get coffee and hot chocolates for the kids.
"And then surprised me when he got down on one knee and presented me with an antique engagement ring."
Their four children – Finn, Liam, Stella Doreen McDermott, and Hattie – got to see dad propose to mom for the third time, which Spelling called "a perfect family moment for unity and love!"
The two met on the set of Mind Over Murder (both were married to other people at the time).
McDermott first proposed on December 24th, 2005, then again exactly one year later, before eloping to Fiji in May 2006.
Spelling told Simon she thinks she and McDermott will throw a wedding in May, their tenth anniversary.
The rest of the European trip was chronicled on Spelling’s Instagram, including a trip to the French countryside and Copenhagen, Denmark.
In other weird Spelling news, Radar Online claims that the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star is grounded in France due to Bronchial Pneumonia.
Spelling was hospitalized in February due to a "mystery illness" which McDermott reportedly didn’t believe, since he was left with the child-rearing.
“As soon as Tori got home, she went straight to bed. Dean had been on his own with the kids for days, and was frustrated,” a source told Radar Online at the time.
In 2013, McDermott admitted to cheating on Spelling while on location in Canada.
