PETA Slams Beyonce, Halftime Show Fashion Choice

by at .

A couple days after the Beyonce halftime show, controversy continues to swirl around the performance of this superstar and her pals from Destiny's Child.

Why did Michelle Williams suck so much, Keyshia Cole asks? Did Beyonce flash the Illuminati Sign, crazy folks wonder?

And why did the singer wrap herself in leather, PETA wants to know?

Beyonce Super Bowl Outfit

Indeed, the world's most irritating organization has come out with a statement regarding Beyonce's outfit in New Orleans/

"We would take a bet that if Beyoncé watched our video exposés... she'd probably not want to be seen again in anything made of snakes, lizards, rabbits, or other animals who died painfully," it reads. "Today's fashions are trending toward humane vegan options, and Beyoncé's Super Bowl outfit missed the mark on that score."

PETA also called out Beyonce for the Christian Dior mink coat she wore to the presidential inauguration last month.

Those people really need to get a life.

I find your comments offensive. PETA tries to help animals that are tortured and skinned alive. As for Beyonce. I used to love her but won't be listening to 1 second of her music or anything to do with her ever again. She could use her status to do so much for animals and I will never forgive her.

Ironic that you finished that with " Those people really need to get a life." I would say they have. They are acknowledging Beyonce getting a life. LOL A little furry creature's life. But seriously. Think before you write

Made for OUR use? What an arrogant statement! Animals do not ‘give’ their life to us, as the sugar-coated lie would have it. No, we take their lives. They struggle and fight to the last breath, just as we would do if we were in their place. They are subjectively aware. They have interests in not suffering and continuing to live. Animals are without question capable of feeling and expressing physical pain, and some animals are likewise capable of feeling and expressing emotional pain. Many animals—especially mammals—have nervous systems quite like our own, and most neurologists will concede that mammals feel physical pain as acutely as we do. Do we need any more evidence that animals are fully capable of suffering? They may lack the language we have to express that suffering, but then again, so do infants. Do we consider babies any less capable of feeling pain because they can’t articulate it the same way adults do? You should go spend a day at a slaughterhouse. Just plain ignorant!

Do most celebrities just have no compassion when it comes to animal suffering?
