Kim Kardashian Mourns Death of Cat Mercy
by Free Britney at .Kim Kardashian's Persian kitten, Mercy, has died, the reality star has confirmed.
The cause of her cat's death was a cancer-like virus associated with breeding.
"It is with deep sadness that I have to tell you all that my kitten, Mercy has passed away," Kim wrote on her blog Friday evening. "My heart is completely broken."
Kim Kardashian only got Mercy in September; at the time, she said she almost went with Pearl as a name before being inspired by the title of one of her man's songs.
Boyfriend Kanye West gave Kim the baby Persian kitty as a gift.
Kim quickly found out she was allergic to her new pet shortly after getting her from the breeder, however, and gave her to Khloe Kardashian's assistant, Sydney Hitchcock.
Sydney had recently lost her own cat after 12 years, making Mercy's arrival joyous - and her loss this week all the more heartbreaking for the pet's caretaker.
Our thoughts go out to all that loved the adorable white ball of fur.

I bought a purebred gorgeous kitten with all her papers and medical checks. Don't these people check on the cat's health before buying it. So sad.
This is why you should adopt and not shop. Breeders do not care about the animal and their health. They are in it only for the money.
It is really sad that this little kitten died. Kim and anyone close to it must b heartbroken. I no I am. And all u haters still bash her. A little kitten dies and u haters use it against her. U haters r really low life pieces of crap.
Agreed. I have seen some of them go so far as to blame Kim on the death. Some people are full of hate. If someone had a little class, they'd just leave it alone, not even bother. RIP Mercy.

Many of you guys are so sad. Kim loses her cat, and you find a way to continue bashing her. I liked that cat, it's sad, I've been in the same situation before, lost a cat that was under a year old not too long ago. The haters have already gone out of their way to blame Kim, it's really sad how low some people's morals really are.
If you are going to speak about morals and how low they are going to go, I believe your focus should be on Kim herself first and foremost. No one with any morals or self respect sells a sex tape for millions and becomes famous because of it. Two wrongs don't make a right and the "haters" as you call them should back off, I agree. Some of us do not hate ... I am one of those ... I would never give anyone that much of my power; however I do not like the way the Kardashians navigate this world. I find them entertaining when I need to take a break from my work schedule so they do serve a purpose.
