The Voice Results: The Elite Eight Are ...

by at . Comments

The Voice results shows are getting tougher and tougher.

After Monday's performances, almost all of the 10 remaining singers could make a strong case for continuing on, but only eight spots were left to be claimed.

It's anyone's game to win - or lose - by virtue of the fact that America's votes count for all the marbles this year. The coaches have no sway beyond words.

So who's out and who's on to the great eight?

Christina Aguilera on The Voice
Adam Levine on The Voice
Cee Lo Green as a Judge
Blake Shelton on The Voice

The two eliminated singers this week are:

Sylvia Yacoub and Bryan Keith of Teams Christina and Adam, respectively, are out.

Team Cee Lo trio Nicholas David, Cody Belew and Trevin Hunte, Team Blake's powerhouses Cassadee Pope and Terry McDermott, Team Christina's lone representative Dez Duron and Team Adam's Melanie Martinez and Amanda Brown all move on to next Monday.

Cee Lo remains in the lead with all three contestants still alive. Though the iTunes chart did dictate who went home last week, it didn't reflect The Voice results tonight; Trevin and Cody were at the bottom of the charts in terms of downloads, but lived to sing another week.

Cassadee actually reached #1 on iTunes last night, knocking off Gangnam Style.

What do you think? Agree with the voters? Who will win it all?

Did you agree with The Voice results tonight?

Who will win The Voice (of the Top 8)?

yeah, i agree totally with krg. bryan keith is fenomenal. what a voice he has. full of soul.

It’s not surprising that Bryan and Sylvia were the ones sent home last night. All my DISH coworkers thought everyone in the top ten had a lot of talent though, and it was sad to see them get sent home. In the last two weeks I think the right people have been sent home, and I can’t wait to see if America gets it right again next week. Unfortunately I have class on weeknights, so I’ll be catching up on The Voice using Prime Time Anytime on my DISH Hopper. My DVR automatically records all the prime time shows on the four major networks for me. It was sad to see two contestants sent home, but I can’t wait to see the top 8 performances next week!

I don't understand how America let Bryan Keith go - what were you thinking? He's much better than Nicholas, Cody or Trevin...........I actually think the producers know exactly who is going to win and they like to make a game of it with their audience..

Bryan is a one trick pony. Cool gritty sweet but that's all.
