The Voice Recap: Wide Awake and a Good Time

by at . Comments

The Voice, like Carly Rae Jepsen and Owl City, is always a good time.

Tuesday's Battle Round performances proved this and then some, as six more singers squared off head-to-head with their singing lives on the line.

Who advanced? Who lived to sing again via the steal? Let's find out!

Liz Davis vs. Nicole Johnson - "Baggage Claim" (Team Blake)

Winner: Liz!

Alessandra Guercio vs. Kayla Nevarez - "Wide Awake" (Team Adam)

Winner: Kayla!
Steal: Christina!

Emily Earle vs. Mackenzie Bourg - "Good Time" (Team Cee Lo)

Winner: Mackenzie!

Also, Mycle Wastman defeated Ben Taub (Team Cee Lo), Michelle Brooks-Thompson defeated Adanna Duru (Team Adam) and Laura Vivas defeated Beat Frequency (Team Christina):

Which battle was your favorite? Who of this group of singers do you think is best? Do you like the new steal rule? Which coach's team do you think is best?

The steals are what make this season so exciting watching The Voice. Of course, when a coach pairs two great singers together, they are sure for a steal, and Adam had a bad night that way with Benji and Sam. This is a heated battle this year too, with Adam and Christina boasting a lot of the great talent. The Voice is my top pick of the week when I'm sitting down to watch TV with my DISH coworker who comes over to kick back with a beer. I like that I don't have to worry about a timer being skipped because I set my Hopper to record all of my PrimeTime Anytime shows on the major networks. My kids like to mess with my timers, but that problem is solved.
