This whole thing is idiotic, including the headline to the article. Rusty did not destroy anybody, he's not famous at all, two weeks ago millions were into Fiona's new album and brilliant career, and the whole shut up and sing comment lacks a basic understanding of how influential a musician can be in bringing about social change. In conclusion, Rusty, you're a douchebag.

    @ Common Sense

COMMON SENSE, you are the idiot. The only thing this has been one hit wonder wanted was a to a venue to spew her bitterness and hatred to simple police enforcing the law.

    @ Steve M

Really? You think a misogynist, backwater hick with a badge spewing his misogyny in a public forum is "simple police enforcing the law"? No. This officer should be reprimanded or have his badge and gun taken away for the letter he published to her. Considering she never gave any NAMES regarding the incident, his reaction is over the top and unnecessary, and sounds very much like someone that's jumping the shark out of GUILT. I don't even listen to her music and I know how to be objective enough to understand that corrupt, backwater hicks from Texas are far more likely to treat a female prisoner inappropriately than they would a male prisoner. She has every right to speak out about her experience, but he is supposed to be a professional representative of the police department and instead he's behaving like a moron. By the way, this officer you're defending? Posts on Facebook about how funny he thinks it is to beat women. Guess that makes you the uninformed idiot, Steve.
