Jerry Lawler: Aware, Alert, Improving

The King lives!

Just a couple days after suffering a heart attack while broadcasting Monday Night Raw, WWE veteran Jerry Lawler is progressing very well.

"[Jerry] is hooked up to tubes and is still not able to speak," son Kevin Lawler tells TMZ. "But he's writing stuff on a notepad to talk to people... Not just brief notes, but detailed stories which show he knows where he is and what is going on."

That's very good to hear, especially as Kevin confirms the family was concerned Jerry had suffered brain damage to the amount of time he was unconscious and not breathing backstage.

The 62-year old remains in the hospital and it's unclear when he will be let out. We send him our very best and hope he finally retires from the ring after this scare.
