American Idol Results: Who Got Booted?

by at . Comments

They all chose singles by their personal idols this week, but for one member of the American Idol top 9, that role model proved to be unlucky tonight.

Whose name was called at the conclusion of the latest results show? Did the judges use the power of their save to keep this individual around? You're seconds away from the answer...

Idol Top 9

Following performances by Nicki Minaj and Scotty McCreery, Hollie Cavanagh, Sklyar Laine and Heejan Han stood in the bottom three. Hollie was the first to be told she was safe, leading to the announcement moments later that Han would be going home.

He once again belted out "A Song For You" in an attempt to be rescued by the panel, but - despite tears from Jennifer Lopez - it was not meant to be. Only eight finalists remain.

Did Han deserve to go home this week?

I just saw Heejun perform for the first time last week (AI comes later to Mexico, apparently, or it was a rerun) and was completely confused. I finally decided he's doing an Andy Kaufman-style routine and can't quite stick to it--the mask keeps slipping. If you're going to put out that kind of persona, you'd better have the vocal and comedic chops to back it up, as well as the thick skin to take the criticism, since that is not everyone's cup of tea. He can sing, though he needs more training, and he does that Office-like gift for provoking an uncomfortable moment and sitting in it--and making us sit in it with him--quite well. I'll be curious to see where this kid ends up.

Good riddance! Heejun should have been eliminated long ago. Yes he's funny but he is not as talented as the last loser Erica. Heejun should not have even made the top 24 as far as I'm concerned. He's a clown and funny but this is not a comedy contest it's about the ability to sing. Erica should should have stayed.

It should've been DeAndre... Heejun's performance was a lot
better ....

I was SO sad to see Heejun go :'( He did so good the night before, I don't understand! America is an idiot. The show isn't going to be near as entertaining without him.
