President Barack Obama will return The Tonight Show with Jay Leno next week. It will be his first appearance on the NBC show since March of 2009.
The Prez became the first sitting Commander-in-Chief to appear on the program with that appearance, marked by his ill-timed Special Olympics joke.
Making fun of handicapped people aside, those were the good days for Barack, whose popularity has declined substantially in the 30 months since.
Can a return to the Tonight Show help Barack recapture the magic?
According to White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer, Obama will be on the West Coast next week raising money for his reelection bid.
In the midst of that swing, he will stop by the talk show Tuesday in an effort boost support from the public for his controversial new jobs bill.
Excited to see the President on late night TV again? Indifferent? Turned off? Regardless, we'll post the interview for you as soon as it airs.
