Parents Call Out Lea Michele for "Sending Wrong Message"
For the second time in a few months, Lea Michele has come under fire for posing in a national magazine.
In October, the actress and a couple Glee co-stars posed provocatively in GQ, a spread that caused such uproar the PTC (ridiculously) compared it to child pornography.
Now, Michele appears on the cover of Cosmopolitan in a dress that - gasp!!! - doesn't cover every inch of her torso.
In response, a few critics have turned to Fox News and expressed disappointment in Michele and the publication.
“I think Lea Michele is sending the wrong message. She plays such a ‘good girl’ on Glee and a lot of kids look up to her persona. Then, she poses very provocatively on two magazine covers, which makes my almost-13-year-old son very confused and offended,” said Kim Trefcer.
Adds Suzette Valle, a mother of two, who writes a blog titled Mamarazzi Knows Best:
“It’s irresponsible to be using an adult who represents a minor dressed in provocative clothes. I think Cosmo is now taking advantage of the raucous GQ caused with their Glee cover and hoping to cash in on the press that got.”

Considering the fact that surrounding her picture are the words "Get Naked", "The Sex Quiz", and "For his thighs only" I would say that her provocative clothing is highly appropriate. Perhaps instead of blaming the media, parents should be teaching their kids that the roles that actors and actresses play on television and in movies is not who they are in the real world. This should be a lesson that is learned right after the hard truth about Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.
I also have to wonder why Suzette Valle's almost 13-year-old son is reading Cosmopolitan.

Good grief. . . She's an adult actress, playing a fictional role in a TV program. She's talented, beautiful, and very much a woman. Don't try to heap your judgemental hypocrisy on her. And no 13 year old male has any reason to be confused by her, and certainly not offended. That's his mommy's hang ups talking. She just lacks the courage and character to say so.

i say if you don't like the show don't watch it i see kim kardashian in the w in the nude and noone had a cow i don't understand why we got to pick on lea so what everyone else is doing half nake pictures i don't watch glee im not a fan im a fan of pretty little liars they are the best show

Mich is old enough to wear whatever she wants and i also think she is very free to expose herself if she wants,she shouldn't be condemned for her own opinion.She is an 'adult'and not a 'baby'

Why is everyone saying that this is how a woman dresses?! This isn't what a mature and beautiful adult woman wears, this is what a slut wears. I'm sorry, but I hate how people think that to be a woman you show major skin. It's just objectification of women!

Why are parents letting their kids watch Glee! I don't find it to be a kid-friendly show. Lea can do what she wants, but IMO her immodest photos are totally inappropriate.
