David Archuleta Duets: Christmas with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir

by at .

David Archuleta is really into the Christmas spirit.

The singer helped light the famous tree at The Grove in Los Angeles last month and will also be featured alongside the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on an upcoming PBS special.

Tweeted the former American Idol finalist about the duets: “Had such an incredible experience this weekend performing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for their PBS Christmas Special!”

That sums it up. Below, we've posted videos of David and the group singing “Joy To The World” and “Angels From The Realms of Glory."

Just FYI the PBS special does not show everything that is on the CD and DVD. The special is one hour and is very nice but leaves out a number of songs including two David sang on - The Cat and Mouse Carol and Silent Night - those are included on the CD and DVD. I think David sings on 4 songs on PBS broadcast.

You can buy the dvd of the whole concert and the cd now....amazing! That was such an honor for David to be invited to sing with this choir. He was the youngest person to ever to be invited to sing with them. He looked so handsome.....and that voice...noone can sing like this young man. The dvd is called Glad Christmas Tidings.

I was at the performance. It was really powerful. David's voice rang out pure and beautiful and filled the whole conference center. It was the best Christmas program I've ever been to.
